The North Shore 114 is the big mountain Swiss army knife of the RMU lineup. Made with skiing pillows, pow and big alpine lines in mind, this ski is made to be skied on your best days out getting the goods.
We’ve partnered with @indigwomenoutdoors to create a limited edition North Shore 114. All the profits from this ski will go towards their programming that creates safe spaces for indigenous folxs to connect with the land and each other by providing low barrier opportunities to get into nature through sport.
As a brand that operates on the ancestral territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh/Squamish and Lil’Wat Nations out of our @rmuwhistler location and the North Shore 114 ski designed by RMU athlete, @alxarmstrng, being heavily influenced by the mountains on their traditional territory, partnering with IWO is an honour.
We’re all about community at RMU so these skis are one small way to say thank you and help propel IWO’s programming to empower the indigenous folks that have been land stewards to this amazing part of the Coast for millenniums.
The skis’ beautiful top sheet was designed by Sḵwx̱wú7mesh artist, @calvincharliedawson, in the traditional Coast Salish form line. Though his specialties include carving, carving restoration and Coast Salish design, we are so grateful he made the time to create this piece for the IWO skis.
