In 2015, RMU took a big step and adopted an employee ownership program. Since then, whether you're speaking with one of our newest staff members in the bar, or one of our senior marketing directors, we're all connected to and invested in our mountain communities.
From day one at RMU, employees begin the ownership program transition. After three years at RMU, employees are invited to join as an RMU owner, reflective of their salaried position over the first 3 year's of employment, with continued ownership accumulation from that point on.
Employee owned companies are rare, especially in the outdoor industry. We're proud to say that everyone at Rocky Mountain Underground begins the journey to ownership, and a growing company, opportunities continue to arise for each employee on that journey.
Ultimately, we believe people are more invested in the work they do when his or her name is behind it.
